Principal's Message
Dear Twin Lakes Family,
Welcome to a new school year! I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our new and returning families and friends to Twin Lakes Elementary School. I hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing summer break and that you are ready for this new school year. The year ahead will be filled with many exciting opportunities intended to build relationships and connections with and between our students, staff, families, and community. We can’t wait to work and learn alongside you this year!
Family involvement is essential for a positive and collaborative community. We hope to engage you in many opportunities throughout the year, including PTA and PTA sponsored events, School Site Council, as well as classroom, field trip, and at-home help volunteers. We also recognize that not all parents/guardians can lend support during the school day, and appreciate the support and guidance you provide your child at home, from helping your child be prepared, on time, and well rested each day, reading with your child, and engaging them in conversation about their day, including what they learned and what problems they solved. There are endless ways that you can be involved here at Twin Lakes and we look forward to collaborating with you.
Our Twin Lakes staff works closely with students and families to build trusting and valued relationships which lead to a positive and collaborative school culture where everyone belongs. We recognize the unique learning and social needs of all our students, and provide structure and support for students to learn academic and social skills, problem solving techniques, and empathy for others.
With all of the positive and engaging experiences your child and family will have this year, this is sure to be a year to remember! From all of the staff at Twin Lakes, we are so thankful that you are part of our school family, and look forward to working together.
Sincerely,
Teresa Rowan, Principal
